The sustainably processed silk-blend satin lining protects textured hair while keeping it moisturized as the ultra-breathable bamboo viscose jersey exterior delivers cutting-edge anti-microbial, odor repelling and moisture wicking properties that will help keep your scalp fresh and cool all day. Hidden between the fabric is a silicone band that lines the front to keep your underscarf comfortably in place. The ruched back panel expands up to 12" and back-elastic expands by 6.5" to effortlessly accommodate varying hair volumes. I was really excited for this underscarf, and had to really think about whether or not I should buy it because of the price tag. It theoretically had everything I wanted but unfortunately did not live up to the expectations. It is too tight on the ears and you can't really tie it loosely because it will slide back due to the satin lining. It is extremely uncomfortable on my ears and I'm very aware of it on my head. It also shows weirdly under my hijab from the back. I kept it because I'm not able to return so for emergencies. :(

Salam Noor, We're so sorry the Silk-Blend Underscarf didn't work out for you. It sounds like perhaps you're tying it too tightly. While that might seem to be the logical thing to do to keep it extra secure but that ends up causing extra tension, making the underscarf pull to the back and slip. Try wearing it without tying it at all, or maybe just a slightly snug fit, while it's behind your ears. Salam Dina, We're so sorry the Silk-Blend Underscarf didn't work out for you. We recommend not tying it too tightly in the back. Many people tighten it thinking that will help keep it on, but the opposite is true. Our underscarves are designed to be snug, but not overly tight to the head. Although many of us are used to extremely tight underscarves, wearing them often is not good for our hair and scalp over the long term and can cause a lot of discomforts while wearing. Also, be sure not to have the underscarf pushed back on your head when you first put it on. You want to place it right where your hairline meets your forehead and it may help to place it just a touch over because it will sit back a bit once you tie it in place. This underscarf is comfortable, stylish, and easy to wear. It fits perfectly and really helps to keep slick scarves from slipping off my hair. The lining is amazing; it's definitely worth the price. I also like that it's a lighter shade so that it doesn't show through sheer scarves worn on top.
