What sustains our marriages? Does it change from the early years to when you've been together with your spouse for a longer period of time? Do you know your spouse's love language? Do you know your own love language? And, what happens when you ask yourself - Do I like this person? You may love your husband, but do you like him?
We got into all of this and more in Part 2 of this very funny but also serious video (scroll down to see it): Marriage and Beyond - HH Team Members Get Hilariously Real!" featuring HH writer and author (and my dear friend) Layla, Noor Suleiman (our community manager), Mona Mostafa (our social media specialist) and of course Melanie Elturk (our CEO). We have about 66 years of marriage between all of us, with 20 years for me, 28 years for Layla, 10 years for Melanie, seven years for Noor and a year-and-a-half for Mona!

These videos (check out Part 1 here) are part of a series on "Marriage and Families – A Multifaceted Landscape," that I produced with articles written by HH's Nargis Rahman, Rowada Kawji, Layla and myself.
We have written about (or are writing about) blended Muslim families, 100 questions Muslim couples should ask each other before (or after) marriage, navigating a post-divorce life, single (Muslim) mom life, the first year of marriage, Prophetic examples of strong marriages, a snapshot of disability parenting and more. In producing this series, the biggest lesson I've learned is that there is so much more to talk about, and so we hope to revisit this series again.
In the meantime, check out the video and share your tips and marriage/relationship stories in the comments below!
