Last week Ahmed and I celebrated our 8th anniversary and he really outdid himself. I woke up on November 14th and Ahmed told me to pack an overnight bag and be sure to pack winter boots (why do I need winter boots and where are we GOING!?!). I thoroughly enjoyed the surprise and the building anticipation as you can tell in the vlog below - yes I vlogged the whole thing. You're welcome ;)

We headed up to the Catskills to a secluded wooded area to spend a night in the wilderness. Ahmed booked the cabin through Getaway and it came fully equipped with a fridge, hot pot, full bathroom and outdoor grill. One thing it doesn't have - WiFi. Their philosophy is simple: disconnect and recharge in your own tiny house. And that we did. It was so cozy and perfect and we had the most amazing time. Enjoy the pics! xoxo, Mel
