For the third day of NYFW I suited up for the launch party of LIKEtoKNOW.it’s first book, featuring yours truly! It was an incredible honor to be part of the book and the best part is readers who reach out saying they found me in the book and love my style, it makes my heart sing. Including a woman who wears hijab in this book is what my work is all about; normalizing hijab in the mainstream. Not fetishizing it, not using it to check off your box for diversity, but educating others on what hijab is; a woman’s personal choice to express her faith. This book allowed me to do just that (in style ;).
