So you guys probably know by now that "polished" could be my middle name. For me, whatever the look, it needs to look put-together and polished. Kimono's are not entirely conducive to looking polished, lol, especially on a thin, short person like me that gets swallowed up in clothes all the time. When I had the opportunity to work with ModCloth for a couple looks, I knew I wanted to style this kimono - but how?
Of course, I put my Melanie spin on it and paired it with a crisp, collared shirt, buttoned all the way up to the top, rather than my typical, tucked-in-my-collar style I love *so* much ;) Unfortunately, the kimono is sold out, but I love this and this one. The pants are a fun paperbag style that look great with a tucked-in shirt. My shoes are from Aldo and super old, but I'm *loving* these and these
To bring the colorful kimono and rust pants together, I added this yellow purse and tortoise sunnies. My hijab is the Everyday Chiffon Hijab in Tawny. Shop the rest of our solid chiffons and choose your fave neutral ;) Enjoy! xoxo, Mel
