If you're anything like me you *dread* jeans shopping due to the influx of super skinnies, jeggings and other cuts that are infused with so much stretch that they're skin-tight. When I do wear jeans, I stick to boyfriend and wide leg styles so I have the option to wear shorter tops, or flares with longer tops because even flares usually have a slimmer thigh.
Some things to keep in mind while jean shopping:
1) For any jeans with rips or tears, check-out these iron-on denim patches for inside the leg to avoid your skin from showing
2) If you're short like me, ankle jeans might work out great for you, but if you're not petite or if you're tall, some of the ankle options below might be too short for you
3) Be careful of jeans with too much stretch in them, I try to stick to 100% cotton or just 2% lycra because it's the stretch that makes jeans skin-tight
