Each year, Loyola University Chicago's Muslim Students' Association hosts an event called, 'Walk a Mile in her Hijab' as part of Islamic Awareness Week where they encourage non-Muslims or Muslims that don't wear hijab to pledge to wear a head scarf and experience a day for a typical Muslim woman. We were happy to participate in the event for the second year by donating hijabs to be worn by and kept by the participants.
All the beautiful participant's in the 'Walk a Mile in her Hijab' Day event.
It took a lot of courage for those of other faith's to don hijab for a day and we salute all those who participated!
We were so happy to donate pink colored hijabs for the event, like the Turkish Delight wrap, seen above!
From Amal, one of the organizers at the event, "I would like to thank you for your generous donations of hijabs to our MSA to be able to have this event! A lot of people were able to experience the beauty of hijab and we got to share their experience with them thanks to your donation. I ask Allah (S) to bless you, your time and to put barakah in your company. I hope that you keep supporting events like these in the future." We were happy to participate!
