If you’re walking down a large city street in modest style, Langston Hues may stop you and capture a shot. That impromptu spotting of modest beauty is the premise of his new photo book, “Modest Street Fashion” to be released in 2014.
Langston is a long time friend of Haute Hijab -- a little bit about him -- He’s a Muslim photographer and hip hop artist. Langston calls himself a “revert” to Islam when describing his conversion in 2007 shortly after graduating from high school in Michigan.

For now, Langston captures, “the emerging culture of modest street style which has erupted around the world,” on his website, Facebook page, and on Instagram. His photos reveal faith driven modest street style from New York City to Amsterdam to London.

No urban street is off-limits for Langston. Among the notable women he has photographed is London stylist, designer, blogger and model Nabiila Bee and The Hijablog author Imaan Ali.
